A mere 3 points behind the winner. Romeo Knight is one of the most respected names in the tracked music scene — melodic, technically immaculate, and consistently charming. This second-place finish at Revision 2026 is another landmark entry in a long career. scene.org.

Saga Musix (Jonas Thedering) is the backbone of the ModArchive’s modern era and one of IT-format composition’s great practitioners. Soaring lives up to its title — expansive, warm, immaculately mixed. scene.org.

04   Unlimited (re)visionsTurbo Knight / DESiRE & K.A.R.R  XM  •  4th place, 420pts  •  Revision 2026
Turbo Knight is an extraordinarily prolific scene musician (Bandcamp: turboknight.bandcamp.com) with a sound that bridges 90s demo aesthetics with contemporary electronic production. Another top-five Revision finish. scene.org.

05   E1M777MASTER BOOT RECORD & Dubmood / Razor 1911  XM  •  1st place, 668pts  •  Revision 2025
The collaboration between MASTER BOOT RECORD’s DOS-metal machine-music and Dubmood’s chiptune-adjacent precision won Revision 2025 comfortably with 668 points — a margin that speaks for itself. 06   Hyperburnerzabutom / Razor 1911 ^ Up Rough  XM  •  2nd place, 594pts  •  Revision 2025
zabutom (Johan Kotlinski, creator of LittleGPTracker and LSDJ) is one of the essential voices in chiptune and tracked music. Hyperburner at 594 points is one of the year’s most-replayed competition entries on SceneSat. scene.org.

07   Break OutVirtua Point Zero  MOD (Amiga ProTracker)  •  3rd place, 573pts  •  Revision 2025
Recorded directly from a real Amiga 1200 running ProTracker 2.3F, then mastered externally. Virtua Point Zero is a dedicated ProTracker purist — all tracks produced exclusively on Amiga. 08   Sunny Sightbacter & Saga Musix  IT  •  4th place, 561pts  •  Revision 2025
A rare collaboration between two of the scene’s most respected composers. bacter (Latvian scene veteran) and Saga Musix combine for a warm, melodic IT track that feels like afternoon light through studio glass. scene.org.

09   SurveillanceHoffman & Daytripper  XM  •  1st place, 762pts  •  Revision 2024
762 points — one of the highest-scoring tracked music entries at Revision in recent history. H0ffman (of Andromeda Software Development / ASD) is one of the most celebrated composers in the entire demoscene, and this collaboration with Daytripper is every bit as accomplished as his legendary back catalogue. Cinematic, emotionally resonant, pristine mixing. scene.org.

10   Track Trackingzabutom & dubmood / Razor 1911  XM  •  2nd place, 707pts  •  Revision 2024
The same duo that would return to win Revision 2025 together. A masterclass in collaborative tracked music — zabutom’s chiptune precision and dubmood’s acid-inflected game music aesthetic merge seamlessly. scene.org.

11   RoguecraftJogeir Liljedahl / MoN  XM  •  3rd place, 680pts  •  Revision 2024
Jogeir Liljedahl is an Amiga legend — creator of Andromeda, one of the finest MODs ever made, active in the scene since the late 80s and still competing at the highest level. Roguecraft is a rogue-themed IT adventure in sound, full of the warmth and craft that characterises all his work. scene.org.

12   Space is the PlaceSubi / Desire  MOD (Amiga)  •  4th place, 666pts  •  Revision 2024
Subi (John Carehag of SceneSat and the Desire demogroup) is both a demoscene institution and a consistently excellent composer. Space is the Place earned 666pts — equal 4th — with a cosmic Amiga MOD that takes full advantage of ProTracker’s harmonic warmth. scene.org.

13   ReturnBacter & Saga Musix  IT  •  4th place, 666pts  •  Revision 2024
Joint 4th (exactly 666 points, same as Space is the Place). This bacter/Saga Musix collaboration — which prefigures their 2025 Sunny Sight — is a tightly emotional IT track that rewards careful listening. scene.org.

14   Yoru no KoeAceMan / Resistance^Dreamweb^Agenda  XM  •  6th place, 646pts  •  Revision 2024
Yoru no Koe (Night Voice) is a Japanese-influenced atmospheric XM with beautiful melodic phrasing and restrained, emotional arrangement. AceMan is a reliable top-10 Revision competitor and this is among his finest entries. scene.org.

15   Can Your AI Do ThisVirtua Point Zero  MOD (Amiga ProTracker)  •  7th place, 620pts  •  Revision 2024
The title alone is a statement. Recorded entirely on a real Amiga 1200 in ProTracker, “Can Your AI Do This” challenges machine-generated music with deeply human compositional craft. One of the most charming Amiga MODs of the year. Listen/buy: Bandcamp.

16   Ode To AmigaLMan  MOD (Amiga)  •  10th place, 600pts  •  Revision 2024
LMan (Markus Klein) is a prolific German demoscener whose work spans SNES chiptune to full module compositions. An Amiga MOD titled “Ode To Amiga” at a major demoparty is exactly what it sounds like: warm, nostalgic, and expertly crafted. scene.org.

laamaa (Marq Hirvilampi) is a Finnish demoscene stalwart with a reputation for consistently excellent tracked music. controversy took first place at Revision 2023, the scene’s most prestigious music compo. 18   Crossfader PersuaderSubi / Desire^Polarity^SceneSat  MOD (Amiga)  •  2nd place  •  Revision 2023
An Amiga MOD that placed 2nd at Revision 2023. Subi’s track length is 3:40 of classic demo-scene funk — warm basslines, punchy breakbeats, expert ProTracker arrangement. Listed on Nectarine as a Song Platform: AMIGA-MOD. scene.org.

19   Keep It TightVirtua Point Zero  MOD (Amiga ProTracker)  •  3rd place  •  Revision 2023
A third Revision compo placement in three years for the ProTracker purist. Recorded directly from Amiga 1200, ProTracker 2.3F, mastered externally. laamaa won Assembly Summer 2025’s Fast Music compo with 758pts — a title that speaks to their commanding presence across the Finnish and international scene. Compact, intense, perfectly constructed. scene.org.

21   novelle pluslaamaa  XM  •  1st place Tracked Music, 610pts  •  Assembly 2023
laamaa’s Assembly 2023 win completes a remarkable hat-trick: Revision 2023 winner, Assembly 2023 winner. A musician at the absolute top of their game. novelle plus is lush, harmonically rich, and sounds expensive. scene.org.

A deeply moving ambient/electronic piece that placed second in the Assembly 2023 Listening Music compo. Tethys brings a cinematic quality to tracked music that few achieve. scene.org.

A collaboration between Amiga legend Jogeir Liljedahl and scene newcomer-turned-prolific-composer Turbo Knight. Mixed by WEVPON, mastered by Van Derand. The meeting of Jogeir’s warm Scandinavian melodicism with Turbo Knight’s modern electronic precision is everything it should be. Listen/buy: Bandcamp.

Turbo Knight revisits one of his most beloved tracks with a full rework. If you only know Turbo Knight from the Revision results, his Bandcamp (turboknight.bandcamp.com) is a treasure trove of chiptune-adjacent electronic music delivered in XM format. Highly recommended.

25   Daemon DismembermentMibri / Atlantis^MultiStyle Labs^Proxima  IT  •  5th place, 531pts  •  Revision 2025
A visceral IT-format industrial track that placed 5th at Revision 2025. Mibri’s aggressive sound design and programmatic intensity make this one of the most distinctive entries of 2025. scene.org.

26   Groove OperatorTriace / Desire^Insane^Retroguru  XM  •  8th place, 602pts  •  Revision 2024
A funk-influenced XM track that proves tracked music has no stylistic limits. Triace is a Czech scene musician with an ear for groove that stands out in a sea of ambient and electronic entries. scene.org.

27   Makoto Loves TofuSyntheslav  XM  •  9th place, 601pts  •  Revision 2024
A delightfully playful title matches a track of equal charm. Syntheslav weaves kawaii-adjacent melodic phrasing into a proper fast-music XM structure. One of the most memorable entries of Revision 2024. scene.org.

28   Vita De NovoJogeir Liljedahl  XM  •  Sound of SceneSat Vol. 7  •  2023
Track 1 on the Sound of SceneSat Volume 7 (released September 2023). Jogeir’s presence opening the compilation is entirely earned. Vita De Novo is a study in melodic efficiency — warm, alive, and timeless. Buy the album: SceneSat Bandcamp.

A meditative XM that earns its title — samsara, the Buddhist cycle of existence, is rendered as a slowly evolving electronic piece. Patient, hypnotic, and genuinely unusual for a competitive compo entry. scene.org.

30   One ThingSubi / Desire^SSR  MOD  •  8th place, 501pts  •  Revision 2025
Subi’s third top-10 Revision finish across three years. Another Amiga MOD from a musician who has made the platform’s musical constraints feel like a creative advantage rather than a limitation. scene.org.

31   Bingo NightsAltiga  XM  •  6th place, 518pts  •  Revision 2025
A cheerful, affectionate piece that belies its competitive position. Bingo Nights is the kind of XM that makes you want to smile involuntarily — warm chords, bouncy rhythm, effortless structure. Altiga’s most prominent Revision entry. scene.org.

teo is a regular Revision contributor with a distinctly liquid, atmospheric approach to XM. the flow lives up to its name — unhurried, beautifully mixed, deeply immersive. High score for 11th place indicates how strong the full 2024 field was. scene.org.

33   Coffee at MorningSoDa7  XM  •  14th place, 564pts  •  Revision 2024
Do not be fooled by 14th place — at Revision 2024 that still means 564 points. SoDa7’s track is a morning-light acoustic-tinged XM that feels like exactly what the title promises. A quiet gem in the full results. scene.org.

34   SnowflakeMark Vera  XM  •  3rd place  •  Instanssi 2026
Mark Vera’s Instanssi 2026 entry placed 3rd, behind only DarkGroove (pumpuli/ivory, 1st) and Apex (Van Derand x Turbo Knight x Wevpon, 2nd). A characteristic blend of warm synth pads and intricate melody. Listen/buy: Bandcamp.

35   FireworksAlex Menchi  XM  •  13th place, 580pts  •  Revision 2024
Alex Menchi is an Italian scene musician known for cinematic, wide-screen XM productions. Fireworks at 580pts for 13th place is another reminder of how deep the Revision 2024 field ran. scene.org.

ModArchive’s “Top Favourites” list (nominated by members) and the “Featured Modules” list (crew-nominated for outstanding quality/technique) are the best starting points for discovering high-quality new uploads outside the demoparty circuit. Jogeir Liljedahl won both the C64 Charts 2024 and ROTY 2024 Best C64 Remix on Remix64 — his second ROTY award in three years. A living legend who keeps producing landmark work. His BIT Live 2025 Remix Compo win confirms he remains at the very top. Follow his work at remix64.com.

Even a laamaa track that “only” places 12th at Revision earns 591 points — more than many first-place entries at smaller parties. The Finnish master’s consistent quality is almost unfair. scene.org.
